I have loved the crap since i was a little kid when my daddy handed me my first Pocky stick and i was amazed at all the chocolate on the biscuit stick. a light and happy snack. I love all flavors. i AM partial to the G line....b/c the biscuit is different and freaking delicious. Just recently (well...a few months ago) i found out Bot-Gurl loves them too. And she was so kind to get me some pocky when she was at the store the other day. one day i was looking on-line and found these pocky bags. I teased Bot-Gurl and told her i was going to get myself one!! WHOOO!! i did. but i got her one too just b/c i know she would kill me.....to steal my freaking awesome POCKY BAG (see above for the song). So when i gave her the Pocky bag at dinner the other day...she was thrilled. We both couldn't decide if we wanted pink or red. it was a diff. decision...but i think we made the right ones. hahaah. she said the pink bag looked so good on me. i had to agree. HAHAHAAHHA. i'm going to sing the song again.... I've got a pocky bag....pocky bag. I've got a pocky bag....pocky bag. On the knitting front... i'm still working on my scarf for the scarf exchange. I've got about 18 inches done. whooooohooooo. i can't wait to be done with it. I've got some serious ADD and i started a BOOGA bag and a scarf sample for Simpatico using Trendsetter Yarns color chips. I was planning on making a cabled clutch bag for a wedding i have to go to next week. but i don't know if that is going to happen. i hate the yarn i picked for it....so that took a step back this week. sigh. i think i'll just use the bag i made for the wedding i went to in May...the purple felted clutch w/ the sparkly yarn. that was a BIG hit at that wedding. :) and this time i'm wearing purple...so it'll definetly match my outfit. sigh. |W|P|112271019897503440|W|P|We have.........POCKY|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com7/30/2005 11:28:00 AM|W|P|

I had a hard time deciding on what i'm going to work on. but i decided on a simple striped scarf. I was going to do something crazy and fancy...but i'm not sure if that's all necessary b/c i'm kind of limited in what i can use for the exchange. check out the pics....excuse the EXTRA glowing picture. the flash really enhanced the RED...and i didn't a good backdrop or lighting scheme to avoid using the flash. sigh. i did get one good picture...but blah blah blha. this is a K3, p1 rib. It's almost stockingnette w/o the curl. hehehe

Ruth|W|P|ditto what rachel said. the stripes are cool!7/18/2005 08:58:00 PM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|my 11-yr reunion is coming up Labor day weekend. that's right...my ELEVEN YEAR. my lazy arse class of 94 didn't want to plan a reunion. it was fine w/ me. i didn't want to feel the need to go...even though i was kind of looking forward to it. but oh well right? nah. the class of 95 is planning a reunion and pity invited us to join their celebration. lame idea right? man...the class of 94 is jumping on it. well, sort of. there was 400+ of us when we graduated. i think like at the most...90 are going. at the most. and i was going to dismiss this idea...but 5 of my friends are pressuring me to go. 5 that i talk to on a regular basis from high school. 1 of whom (gay joseph) i talk to every week. he keeps telling me "GO! YOU BETTER GO!!! GOOOO!!!" i'm actually leaning toward going. It'll be a good excuse to see my parents again. hahahaha. even though i'm going to see them anyway in S eptember. my brother told me to not go b/c it's a pity reunion. i sort of agree. but then i can't help feel like i'm going to miss something fun if i DON"T go. i talked to my friend today and he said we can go as a group...and if it sucks...we can leave, go to some places in town and get plastered by ourselves. ahh...getting plastered and dealing w/ the fact that it's been 11 years since i was a young girl in HS....it's a good reason to drink. heheheh. it's fun to go drinking w/ gay joseph. he drinks the same girly drinks i love to drink. "girl...who wants a beer? white chocolate martinis for us please!! and then a round of kamakaze's!!!" so now i just need to figure out a way to lose 300 lbs in 5 weeks. i'm starting to be a bit stupid and imaging the reunion scenario in the movie "gross pointe blank." but instead of sweet 80's tunes from my childhood...i will be plagued with Ace of Base memories. hahaha. Every time i hear ace of base I reminise about PROM...my friends dancing in a circle and being sing-a-long sallys. i loved the cupcake hat so much and i had so much yarn left over....I made myself one as well. Isn't it cute? hahahaha. i was even researching new ideas for this little hat. and such a weird conicidence...there was an article about the hipness of cupcakes right now. And they had different designs for cupcakes and where to get them. I saw alot of cute ideas and I should have applied them to my hat. i still can, but i wanted to make another FAT FAT pom pom. lol i got some baby weight yarn to make a baby hat and use at work possibly. i think w/ that one i will experiement a bit more. I extended the bottom ribbing a bit more. I finished the cupcake hat. I need to find a child to put it on and take pictures of. this was a REALLy fun knit. I started it yesterday at around....430p? and i finished today around 3p. I did sleep. I did eat dinner. I think total hours put into this hat was about 5? not many. i'm pleased with it. i took it to Simpatico today and everyone loved it. what an ego boost. lol. we started talking about what diff. things we could do w/ it. I wanted to put sprinkles on it...but Mary said that the yarn is pretty enough by itself w/ the varigation. I agree. No need for sprinkles on this hat. tee-hee. i think i'm goign to make one for myself. tee-hee. This one modeled here will be a shop model for a little while and then i'm going to give it to my friend's daughter who is now 2 years and 2 months old. her mama loves it when i make her hats.

See how nice the yarn is close up? it's so purty. This is Encore worsted weight. I forget the color. I forgot where i left the ball band. I finally took pics of the One Skein Wonder. I finally made use of my new mannequin. hahaah

Isn't it cute? it was too hot for me to wear to the wedding banquet i went to on Sat. (108F in the shade).

It was 108F the entire time i was there...soo it was TOO hot. oh well. i missed the annual "hot as a firecracker" sale at Simpatico on Sat. I was mad about missing it..but oh well. Bot-Gurl did me a huge favor and hooked me up w/ some sale items! whoo-hoooo! i'm still working on the dna scarf sort of for my doctor/teacher. he spoke about DNA today. i started to giggle slightly. And im' working on a 1 skein silk scarf for Simpatico. i started it tonight at 1am. stupid me. now i'm wanting to get into it...but i shouldn't. i need to go to bed soon. :) tonight the ladies and I went to Uncle Yang's Chinese/Thai restaurant.
